Who Am I?
- I always cheer for the underdog.
- Music soothes me, reveals my moods, and completes me. There is always a song in my heart.
- I love to feel the rain, see the power and majesty of a thunderstorm, be awed by the immense expanse of the ocean.
- I don't believe people should be intimidated by the wealth, power, intelligence, or beauty of another. Every person is an amazing creation, crafted by God Himself.
- I focus on the good in people, but am not blind to their faults.
- Photography is my art. A little bit of my self is revealed in every picture.
- An hour with a piano releases my stress and frustrations. It gives me peace and a kind of serenity.
- I find it difficult to trust people very deeply. I forgive, but I don't forget.
- My pets restore my faith in humanity.
- I am intimidated by telephone conversations.
- I believe the words "hate" and "love" have lost their true meaning. "Hate" should be reserved for evil and "love" be kept for true affection and devotion.
- I believe that in our attempt to preserve "our rights", we are slowly destroying them.
- At times, I see politics as a middle-aged playground fight and laugh.
- My closest friends are those who have witnessed my tears and cried, experienced my joys and laughed with me.
- I truly fear anger, addiction, failure, hate, and disappointing my loved ones.
- I am not competitive, but neither am I passive.
- My true friends are those who can accept me as I am.
- I understand the concept of meekness and know that it is not cowardice.

Paint Brush
I keep my paint brush with me
Wherever I may go,
In case I need to cover up
So the real me doesn't show.
I'm so afraid to show you me,
Afraid of what you'll do -
That you might laugh or say mean things.
I'm afraid I might lose you.
I'd like to remove all my paint coats
To show you the real, true me,
But I want you to try and understand,
I need you to accept what you see.
So if you'll be patient and close your eyes,
I'll strip off all my coats real slow.
Please understand how much it hurts
To let the real me show.
Now my coats are all stripped off.
I feel naked, bare and cold,
And if you still love me with all that you see,
You are my friend, pure as gold.
I need to save my paint brush, though,
And hold it in my hand,
I want to keep it handy
In case someone doesn't understand.
So please protect me, my dear friend
And thanks for loving me true,
But please let me keep my paint brush with me
Until I love me, too.
